CVSan: Magnolia Grove Receives Green Neighbor Community Award!
Magnolia Grove is the latest multi-family community to be re-certified by CVSan) in the Green Neighbor Community Recognition Program!

Congratulations to Magnolia Grove, the latest multi-family community to be re-certified by Castro Valley Sanitary District (CVSan) in the Green Neighbor Community Recognition Program! The program recognizes local multi-family communities who practice the 4Rs – Reduce, Reuse, Recycle, and Rot (organics) to help make Castro Valley a healthier, and more sustainable place to live and work.
On August 13th, CVSan delivered Magnolia Grove’s Green Neighbor awards: $350 in $5 gift cards to a local coffee house and $525 worth of biobags for residents to use to compost their food scraps in the green carts.
When speaking about how they do so well in reducing waste, Chateau Andre multi-family property manager Jessica Morgenstern said, "Our neighbors and residents generally cooperate with our community efforts to sort and reduce waste. We all need reminders occasionally, and the free literature CV San provides has been very helpful!"
