A simple question on Patch's Facebook page gave local residents a chance to take a trip down Memory Lane.

CASTRO VALLEY, CA — Over the weekend, Castro Valley Patch asked on our Facebook page, "If you could bring back one local business that closed in town (it doesn't matter how long ago), which would it be?"

Three people — Linda Phippen Hulme, Pam Maria Hoy-Brown and Ginger Russell — miss the Hallmark store.

Food was on the minds of some people. Julie Earl said, "Katy Lou's best sandwich deli ever I still crave them." Barbara Betti agreed.
