Firefighters Find Marijuana in Hayward House Fire
Hayward firefighters discovered marijuana growing in a house's garage while battling house fire.

Firefighters found more than 200 marijuana plants inside a house in unincorporated Alameda County while trying to tackle to one-alarm house fire.
Firefighters arrived at the house on 23201 Lori Way, and found an electrical meter arching outside the garage, said Hayward Fire Department Battalion Chief, Scott Anderson.
No one was home when the fire broke out.

When crews found the marijuana inside the garage, they notified the Alameda County Sheriff’s Office.
Anderson does not know the cause of the fire but he believes it may have been electrical.
