First Chipotle Mexican Grill In Hayward Opens

HAYWARD, CA — Chipotle Mexican Grill opened its first location in Hayward on Tuesday.

The restaurant is known for fresh Mexican food with choices of protein, rice, beans, guacamole, cheese and more as toppings or add-ins for burritos, bowls, salads, tacos and quesadillas.

And, for a limited time, it is offering carne asada.

The eatery, at 22263 Foothill Blvd. in Hayward, is open daily from 10:45 a.m. to 10 p.m.

The restaurant is still hiring and offers benefits including a crew bonus with the opportunity to earn an extra month’s worth of pay each year; a debt-free college degree program; and access to mental healthcare for employees and their families.

Chipotle also offers fundraisers to benefit local causes.
