Dream season continues for Chabot men's tennis team with 8-1 rout of Fresno City in NorCal semifinals

The dream season continues!

The No. 2-seeded Chabot men’s tennis team defeated No. 4 Fresno City 8-1 on Tuesday in the Northern CA Dual Team Playoffs semifinals. Chabot will travel to No. 1 American River on Saturday in the NorCal Finals, with a berth in the CA State Championship at stake.

ARC defeated Foothill 5-2 in the semifinals.

In Tuesday’s singles highlights, Chabot’s Darian Quinonez swept Brett Castro, 6-2, 6-1; Arav Waghray upended Matt Coelho, 6-1, 6-1; Elijah Cho beat Dan Mosley, 6-0, 6-3; Nick Saquilayan defeated Josh Renstart, 6-2, 6-1; and Josh Fralick topped Chen Lee, 6-3, 6-3.

In doubles, Quinonez & Waghray bested Castro & Coelho, 8-4; Cho & Fralick beat Moseley & Lee, 8-3; and Saquilayan & Nguyen topped Renstart & Peltoh, 8-5.
Chabot improved to 13-7 on the season, with a Coast mark of 5-1.
