Help Castro Valley Teachers Supply Their Classrooms
Castro Valley teachers have turned to an online funding site to supply their classrooms with basics and extras.
CASTRO VALLEY, CA — Teachers in Castro Valley are preparing their classrooms for the new school year and, for many, that includes dipping into their own pockets to purchase supplies.
Others are turning to a crowd funding website called Donors Choose. Teachers can ask for basics, such as new books. Others dream big and ask for tech, science equipment and other expensive items.
Donors may cover the entire cost of a project or make a smaller donation to the cause.
