HAYWARD, CA — A Hayward restaurant got a shout-out from Diablo Magazine.
It recently honored East Bay diners, dive bars, and hole-in-the-wall eateries "that open early for breakfast, prepare hot lunches and satisfying dinners, and pour you a drink for a reasonable price."
In the burger bars and lunch spots category, Val's Burgers of Hayward received recognition.

"Take a scene out of American Graffiti and you’ve got VAL’S BURGERS, a classic joint that’s been serving juicy burgers and steak fries since 1958. Unfortunately, COVID-19 reduced the restaurant’s open days to Friday and Saturday. 2115 Kelly St., Hayward."
