In-N-Out Opens East Bay Location Months After Closing In Oakland
The new location employs about 80 people starting at $23 per hour and includes a drive-thru, indoor seating and a covered patio.

HAYWARD, CA — In-N-Out has opened a new restaurant in the East Bay just months after shuttering its Oakland location, which was the first of the burger chain's eateries ever to close, according to the California company.
The new restaurant opened last week at 709 Harder Ave. in Hayward.
“We have been working on the development of the new Hayward location for several years,” Chief Operating Officer Denny Warnick said in a prepared statement.

The location employs about 80 people starting at $23 per hour and includes a drive-thru, indoor seating and a covered patio. Its hours are 10:30 a.m. to 1 a.m. Sunday through Thursday and 10:30 a.m. to 1:30 a.m. Friday and Saturday.
The Oakland restaurant's March closure was announced in January, with In-N-Out citing crime including car break-ins, property damage, theft and armed robberies that made the business unsafe as the reason it was shut down.
