• East Bay's November openings include new options for breakfast, dumplings, dim sum and more (richmondside.org) — Castro Valley just landed what’s billed as the largest dim sum restaurant in the country, with HL Peninsula opening a massive new location on Castro Valley Boulevard featuring ten dining rooms and an 846-person capacity. The roundup also spotlights several other November and early-December restaurant debuts around the East Bay, from Indonesian coffee in Berkeley to new brunch, chocolate, and burger spots in Oakland and Walnut Creek.
