Tip-A-Cop For Special Olympics Thursday At Black Bear Diner, Hayward

HAYWARD, CA — Special Olympics Northern California is hosting "Tip-A-Cop" fundraisers Thursday, Sept. 8 at three Black Bear Diner restaurants in the SF Bay Area, including the locale on Hesperian Boulevard in Hayward.
Local law enforcement personnel will serve as celebrity wait-staff from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. at locations in Hayward, Pleasanton and Vallejo — with their "tips" donated to Special Olympics.
"Come get waited on by law enforcement's finest and raise funds for Special Olympics at the same time," the organization said. "Make your change count. Support Special Olympics and change a life!"

Founded in 1968, Special Olympics provides year-round training and athletic competitions in a variety of Olympic-type sports for children and adults with intellectual disabilities.
