A car careened into a power pole in Castro Valley sending two occupants to the hospital late this afternoon, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The collision was reported just before 4:30 p.m. near the intersection of Redwood Road and Camino Alta Mira, the CHP said. The gold Honda took down a power pole and PG&E is en route to make repairs, the CHP said.
PG&E was not immediately available for comment but the collision does not appear to have caused any major power outages. Two people were taken to a hospital with major injuries, the CHP
