Celebrities Settle In at Century City High-Rise

Several celebrities have said goodbye to traditional estates and hello to high-rise living with the purchase of units at the Century, a 42-story condominium tower in Century City, The Wall Street Journal reported.

Candy Spelling bought into the now-two-year-old Century when she moved out of her estate in Holmby Hills. Other celebs have since followed, according to the WSJ report.

Residents include ex-"X-Factor" judges Paula Abdul and Cheryl Cole, actress Elizabeth Berkley and her husband, Greg Lauren (nephew of fashion designer Ralph Lauren). Iranian businessman and Qualcomm co-founder Younes Nazarian and chef Nobu Matsuhisa own in the luxury high-rise.

Buyers must be willing to put up a hefty chunk of change for the units, with two-bedroom, 2,400-square-foot units coming in at $2.3 million and penthouses at $21 million, according to L.A. Observed.
