18 Year Old Arrested For Concord Highway Shooting

An 18 year old has been arrested in connection with a shooting that occurred on Highway 242 in Concord last month, police said Wednesday.

CONCORD - An 18 year old has been arrested in connection with a shooting that occurred on a highway in Concord last month, police said Wednesday.

Joshua Cano allegedly drove a black four-door vehicle involved in a shooting on northbound state Highway 242 near Grant Street on Feb. 16, according to police.

At 7:32 p.m. that evening Concord police responded to John Muir Medical Center on report of a gunshot victim who had been dropped off at the hospital for treatment of wounds that were not thought to be life-threatening.

Investigators said that victim may have been shot in the vicinity of Highway 242 and Grant Street.

Cano was arrested on suspicion of shooting at an occupied vehicle, use of a firearm resulting in great bodily injury, transporting marijuana and gang enhancements, police said.
