Police say a suspected drug dealer was arrested with various drugs and firearms after two separate traffic stops.
ANTIOCH - A suspected drug dealer was arrested in connection with various drugs and firearms allegedly found by officers as a result of two separate traffic stops this month in Antioch, police said.
An Antioch police officer first conducted a traffic stop on the suspect, identified as 41-year-old Deon Culberson, for a traffic violation at 9:20 p.m. on March 3.
The officer allegedly found a loaded and concealed firearm in the possession of Culberson, a previously convicted felon. He was arrested at that time and sent to Martinez Detention Facility.

Culberson was later released but was pulled over again for a traffic violation by an Antioch police officer on Thursday at 10 a.m. near Lone Tree Way and Hillcrest Avenue.
This time, Culberson fled in his vehicle and led the officer on a chase through a residential neighborhood, police said. He eventually ditched his vehicle, prompting a brief foot pursuit, police said.

Culberson was involved in a scuffle with the pursuing officer before he was taken into custody, police said.
Culberson was again sent to the Martinez Detention Facility.
At 2 p.m. that day, Antioch police served a search warrant at Culberson's Oakley home.
A large amount of cocaine and methamphetamine was allegedly found, as well as evidence that it was possessed for the purpose of selling, police said.
Ammunition for various caliber firearms was also discovered, police said.
The case is still under investigation.
