​3 Killed In Crash During Suspect Pursuit In Stockton

The suspect vehicle collided with an uninvolved vehicle, resulting in the deaths of the suspect and two occupants of the other vehicle.

STOCKTON, CA β€” Three people were killed in a crash that happened during a suspect pursuit early Sunday in Stockton, authorities said.

Deputies tried to stop a stolen vehicle around 1:40 a.m. near Wilson Way and Harding Way in Stockton, according to the San Joaquin County Sheriff's Office.

The driver didn't yield and fled southbound at a high rate of speed, the sheriff's office said. During the pursuit, the suspect vehicle collided with an uninvolved vehicle at the intersection of Airport Way and Hazleton Avenue, resulting in the deaths of the suspect and two occupants of the other vehicle.

Their names were withheld pending family notification.

"We extend our deepest condolences to the families and loved ones of the victims during this difficult time," the sheriff's office said on social media.
