5 Suspects Sought In Smash-And-Grab Robbery: Police
The robbers walked in with a sledgehammer and pickaxe and began smashing glass jewelry counters, police said.

CONCORD, CA — The Concord Police Department is investigating the robbery Sunday of a jewelry store at Sunvalley Mall.
The robbery happened at 1:15 p.m. Sunday when five suspects wearing hoods, masks and gloves entered Kay Jewelers, Concord police Sgt. Scott Smith said.
The suspects were armed with a sledgehammer and a pickaxe and used the tools to break glass display cases and steal numerous pieces of jewelry, the sergeant said.

The suspects were seen leaving the mall in a dark-colored Dodge Charger and were gone before officers got to the scene.
"No further details are available at this time, as this is an active and ongoing investigation," Smith said.
