Authorities Identify Concord Teen Struck, Killed On Bicycle
The 15-year-old was fatally struck by a pickup truck Sunday night on Willow Pass Road.

CONCORD, CA β A teenage boy fatally struck by a vehicle in Concord on Sunday evening has been identified by the Contra Costa County coroner's office as 15-year-old Sergio Pop-Pacheco, a Concord resident. Pop-Pacheco was riding his bike north in the west crosswalk of Willow Pass Road at Fry Way when he was struck by a westbound pickup truck on Willow Pass in a collision reported at 6:51 p.m., police said.
He was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver of the truck, a 40-year-old Fairfield man, stopped and called 911 and cooperated with investigators. Alcohol and drugs are not believed to be factors in the collision, according to police.
