CONCORD, CA β€” The Concord Police Department will deploy officers on special patrols Thursday evening to search for people suspected of driving under the influence of drugs or alcohol. Thursday's DUI patrols are scheduled to begin at 5 p.m. and conclude 2 a.m. Friday.

Police officials shared a few reminders with the public ahead of the operation, including that alcohol is far from the sole cause of impairment.
