Concord Residents Can Join Fall Zero Waste Challenge

Complete at least five actions by Dec. 10 to be entered into a drawing to win a $50 gift card.

CONTRA COSTA COUNTY, CA β€” Contra Costa County residents can reduce their waste this fall by taking the Fall Zero Waste Challenge.

Residents who complete at least five of the actions by Dec. 10 will be entered into a drawing to win a $50 gift card.

The challenge is a program coordinated by the Sustainable Contra Costa group.

"The Cleaner Contra Costa Challenge makes it simple to take action and save money, energy, water, reduce waste and build strong, connected communities. We help with tips, action guides, resources, and custom estimates on your impact and savings from actions. The platform tracks your progress and makes it easy to connect and work with your friends, neighbors, or any community you belong to."

Local agencies that support the group include the County of Contra Costa, the cities of Martinez, Concord, Antioch, San Pablo, Walnut Creek, Pittsburg, Moraga, Orinda, Pleasant Hill, Lafayette and the East Bay Municipal Utility District.

Businesses that support Cleaner Contra Costa include Moraga Hardware & Lumber, EcoMulch, Diablo Foods, Bill’s Ace Hardware, MCE and the Sideboard Neighborhood Kitchen and Coffee Bar.
