Man Falls From Tractor Near Clayton, Flown To Trauma Center
The East Contra Costa County Fire Protection District responded to the incident on Morgan Territory Road.

CONTRA COSTA COUNTY, CA β A 63-year-old man was injured after he fell from a tractor this morning in unincorporated Contra Costa County, according to fire officials. At 8:35 a.m. Thursday, East Contra Costa County Fire Protection District crews were dispatched to the 2900 block of Morgan Territory Road a few miles southeast of Clayton on a report of an injured man.
According to Battalion Chief Ross Macumber, the man was working on a small tractor, about the size of a riding lawn mower. Using the tractor, he tried to pull something out of the ground when the tractor caught on something, tipped over and rolled down a hill.
The man fell off the tractor and suffered moderate injuries, possibly to his head, as well as internal injuries, Macumber said.

Crews arrived and located the man, who was conscience and spoke to responders, Macumber said. The man was flown to a trauma center.
