CONTRA COSTA COUNTY, CA — Contra Costa Animal Services is looking for the owners of a 15-pound terrier found dead Wednesday evening, floating in the Contra Costa Canal in the unincorporated community of Clyde near Port Chicago.
The animal was described as female, small and brown. She had not been spayed and no microchip was found.
When discovered, the carcass was tethered to a crate that had been covered in green nylon. The scene was near Medburn Street, but it's not clear if the crate drifted downstream from another location.
