2 Suspects Sought In Armed Robberies In Culver City: Police

Police are searching for two men who robbed two women at gunpoint near the Culver City Stairs and Ballona Creek.

CULVER CITY, CA — Police Tuesday are seeking two men who held two women at gunpoint and robbed them in Culver City.

The separate incidents happened Monday morning, according to the Culver City Police Department. No injuries were reported.

The first victim was approached by the suspects, who were inside an SUV, about 6:30 a.m. Monday in the area of Hayden Avenue and Higuera Street, near the Culver City Stairs, police said.

The driver of the SUV demanded money from the victim while the second suspect, who was seated in the backseat, pointed a rifle at her, police said. The victim handed over her fanny pack, which had her phone and wallet inside.

The second robbery occurred shortly after the first in the area of Eastham Drive and Stellar Drive, near the Ballona Creek, police said. The victim gave the suspects her phone.

The suspects were described as men in their 20's, and their SUV was described as possibly blue. No further details were available.
