90-Year-Old Man Attacked, Robbed at Culver City Mall

The nonagenarian said a man approached him asking for money and when he refused, the man attacked him.

CULVER CITY, CA -- A Westchester man said he was attacked in broad daylight in the middle of a busy food court at a Culver City mall, CBS2 Los Angeles reported.

Victor Toledo, 90, told the station he was eating lunch in the food court at the Westfield Culver City mall when a man approached him and asked for money. The attacked happened when Toledo refused to give the man money, the nonagenarian told the station.

The man allegedly grabbed Toledo and threw him on the floor, ripped gold chains from around his neck and stole his wallet, which contained $400, according to CBS2.

Culver City police told the station they have footage of the alleged attacker but only when he was running away. He is still on the loose.
