Culver City Natural Gas Leak Prompts Street Closure

Lucerne Avenue was closed to pedestrian and vehicle traffic between Irving Place and Ince Boulevard as a precaution, police said.

CULVER CITY, CA — A natural gas leak in Culver City on Monday has prompted the closure of Lucerne Avenue, police said. The leak was reported around noon, according to the Culver City Police Department. There was no danger to the public, police said.

The leak was reported at the intersection of Van Buren Place and Lucerne Avenue. Southern California Gas Company was aware of the situation and was actively correcting the problem, police said.

Lucerne Avenue was closed to pedestrian and vehicle traffic between Irving Place and Ince Boulevard as a precaution, police said.
