Culver City Soul Food Restaurant Closes

A soul food restaurant has closed inside Citizen Public Market in Culver City.

CULVER CITY, CA — A Culver City soul food restaurant has closed, EaterLA reports.

Louella’s Cali Soul Kitchen is now closed at Citizen Public Market in Culver City.

The restaurant closed this month and will be replaced by fried chicken spot Go Go Bird.

Chef Keith Corbin, who co-owned the company with Daniel Patterson, created flavors inspired by family recipes and growing up in South L.A. Louella was his grandmother.

The restaurant closed “at the request of food hall leadership,” Corbin said.
