Fire Breaks Out At Baldwin Hills Home

LOS ANGELES, CA — Firefighters extinguished a blaze that broke out in a single-family home in Baldwin Hills Thursday morning.

Crews responded to the home on Punta Alta Drive at around 10 a.m. to find fire showing in the single-family home, according to the Los Angeles Fire Department.

It took 36 firefighters less than a half hour to extinguish the blaze, which was contained to two rooms in the house.

"Despite the close proximity of the adjacent structures, firefighters prevented the fire from extending," the LAFD's Margaret Stewart said.

One patient was being evaluated, though their condition was not known.
