LA County Library To Offer Free Flu Shots In Culver City
Flu season is coming. Here's how to get your free flu shot in Culver City.
CULVER CITY, CA — Health officials warn that not only are COVID-19 vaccinations important, but flu season is coming. The Los Angeles County Library will offer a series of clinics next week to offer free flu inoculations, including a clinic in Culver City this month.
The clinic will be on Oct. 20, from noon to 3 p.m. at Culver City Julian Dixon Library, 4975 Overland Ave.
No appointments are required and proof of insurance is not needed.

"The well-being of our staff and customers is always on our minds," LA County Library Director Skye Patrick said in a statement. "Working with Public Health to make flu immunization clinics available to our customers allows us to provide them with a valuable resource to keep them and their loved ones healthy."
Flu shots are recommended for everyone 6 months of age and older.

County health officials have offered flu shots with the library for eight years. In 2020, 2,5000 immunizations were provided.
It is especially important to get a flu vaccine if you:
- Are 6 months through 18 years of age.
- Are 65 years of age and older.
- Are pregnant or just had a baby.
- Live in a nursing home or long-term care home.
- Have a weakened immune system.
- Have chronic medical condition (asthma, heart disease and stroke, diabetes, HIV/AIDS, cancer).
- Live with or care for someone who is more likely to have flu complications.
- Are a healthcare provider.
