New Hotel The Shay Opens In Culver City

The Shay is located at Culver City's Ivy Station development, part of the city's recent real estate boom.

CULVER CITY, CA — If you drive around Culver City then you might notice: it is booming. The Shay is the latest hotel business to enter the scene and brings the first rooftop bar to Culver.

The Shay, a Destination by Hyatt hotel, is a 148-room property that features Culver City’s only curated rooftop pool experience. It's open to both guests and the public.

The hotel has two dining concepts from Michelin-starred chef Danny Grant. The sprawling campus has indoor-outdoor spaces designed by LA’s famed Studio Collective featuring local artwork.

It has loft-style rooms and will also serve as an indoor-outdoor wedding and event space. It features a game room, retail pop-ups, a craft cocktail bar and features Los Angeles-based artwork throughout the hotel.

It was designed by award-winning boutique agency Studio Collective, the group behind Hotel June, Hotel Figueroa and The Bungalow Santa Monica. It's located near the light rail metro, which is just outside of the hotel, and offers convenient access to the city and beach.

The hotel is located in the heart of Culver City's historic downtown, near Sony Pictures Entertainment, Apple's new offices and developing Amazon Studios. The arts district, restaurants, galleries and hiking trails are all nearby the location.
