• Leadership Culver City Offers Hands-On Civics Sessions (culvercitycrossroads.com) — A new Leadership Culver City class starts in January, giving residents a structured, hands-on way to learn how Culver City government works and connect with local leaders. Alumni include the current mayor, city commissioners, and nonprofit volunteers. Monthly sessions from January through June are capped at about two dozen participants to encourage real discussion and civic engagement.
   

• LA County Sues Oil Companies Over Idle Inglewood Wells Allegedly Leaking Toxic Pollution (westsidetoday.com) — Culver City previously secured a settlement requiring Sentinel Peak Resources to plug 15 oil wells by 2027, and now Los Angeles County is suing several operators over allegedly leaking idle wells at the Inglewood oil field. County officials say improperly sealed wells may be exposing more than a million nearby residents to toxic pollution and are seeking civil penalties and enforcement of decommissioning obligations.
