The story follows LA-area Scouts returning to fire-damaged Camp Josepho in the Santa Monica Mountains, where they’re clearing invasive plants, uncovering a long-buried memorial, and finding new ways to support fire-impacted families across the region.
   

• Puza, Fish and Jones confirmed as Mayor, Vice Mayor, City Manager (culvercitynews.org) — Culver City’s council has unanimously confirmed Odis Jones as the new city manager and elected Freddy Puza as mayor with Bubba Fish as vice mayor for the next year. Puza, the city’s first openly LGBTQ+ mayor, emphasized diversity, Culver City’s sanctuary status, and moving beyond its sundown-town past during a celebratory but occasionally tense meeting.
