Vera Leads Field Of 7 Candidates For Culver City Council: Semi-Final Results
Here are the latest results for the Culver City City Council election, updated as officials release ballot tallies.

CULVER CITY, CA — Albert Vera, Yasmine-Imani McMorrin and Bryan "Bubba" Fish are leading a field of candidate vying for three City Council seats, according to semi-final results.
In the running are seven candidates vying for three City Council seats. The field includes two incumbents seeking second terms McMorrin and Vera and five challengers: Fish, Adrian M. Gross, Denice Renteria, Nancy Barba and Jeannine Wisnosky Stehlin.
Council members are elected at large; the three highest vote-getters are expected to be sworn in for four-year terms on the council Dec. 9.

Here's the latest count:
- Vera — 20.56% — 8,246 votes
- McMorrin — 17.19% — 6,897 votes
- Fish — 15.94% — 6,396 votes
- Stehlin — 15.73% — 6,311 votes
- Renteria — 14.87% — 5,966 votes
- Barba — 13.32% — 5,345 votes
- Gross — 2.38% — 953 votes
The results reflect 2.62 million ballots counted countywide by early Wednesday morning, representing 45.59% of registered voters, which the Los Angeles County Registrar-Recorder/County Clerk's Office said were "semi-final results." The results also reflect another approximately 80,000 counted ballots reported by the registrar's office on Wednesday afternoon.

There are still "many" ballots left to count: The registrar plans to release updated counts each day after 4 p.m. until all ballots are counted and the results are certified, the registrar's office said.

McMorrin and Vera are each seeking second terms after being elected to the council in 2020.
Councilmember Göran Eriksson is not seeking reelection; his second term ends Dec. 9 and is set to be replaced by one of the seven candidates.
The terms of council members Dan O'Brien and Freddy Puza end in 2026.
