Two Rideshare Customers Robbed At Gunpoint In Culver City

Police in Culver City continue their search for a man who robbed two rideshare customers at gunpoint, department officials said.

CULVER CITY, CA — Police in Culver City Sunday are continuing their search for a man who robbed two rideshare customers at gunpoint, department officials said Sunday.

The robbery occurred at 2:05 a.m. Saturday on the 9000 block of Krueger Street, Culver City Police Department spokeswoman Jennifer Atenza said.

Two people who were waiting for a rideshare vehicle were approached by a man who pointed a black semi-automatic handgun at them and demanded their bags, according to Atenza.

The two handed over a purse and backpack and told officers the suspect threatened to "kill" them if they contacted the police, she said.

He left on foot and was last seen heading east toward Higuera Street.

The man was described as being short with a medium build, between 20 and 25, wearing a dark-colored hoodie sweater.
