$100K+ Worth Of Counterfeit Designer Products Seized In Dublin: Police

DUBLIN, CA — A 40-year-old woman was arrested Wednesday morning in Dublin after police say they found her with more than 3,000 counterfeit designer products worth more than $100,000.

Surin Phat was arrested yesterday after an anonymous tip and two search warrants, police said.

The counterfeit items included purses, sunglasses, clothing and other accessories.

“This is not a common occurrence for Dublin Police, however it is a good example of the community working with the police to assist in taking these illegal items off the street,” Captain Nate Schmidt said.

Possible penalties could be jail time, a fine up to $500,000 or both, Schmidt said.
