2 Danville Galleries Included In East Bay Art Gallery Tour

Nine day tour takes art enthusiasts to a variety of art galleries in and around the East Bay for a chance to win $300.

DANVILLE, CA — Two Danville art galleries are taking part on the East Bay Gallery Tour, a new collaboration sharing work from local artists.

The Village Theatre Art Gallery, 233 Front Street, and Blackhawk Gallery, 3416 Blackhawk Plaza Circle have joined with Concord's aRt Cottage, JOR Fine Art Gallery in Clayton, Main Street Arts Gallery in Martinez, Moraga Art Gallery in Moraga and Valley Art Gallery in Walnut Creek to expose visitors to a variety of techniques and approaches to art.

Those participating will have the chance to win a $300 gift certificate to use at one of the galleries, a news release announcing the event said.

Visitors to the eight galleries between from now through Oct. 15 will be given a postcard passport and can collect a stamp from each gallery.

“I felt by teaming up to create an East Bay Gallery Tour, we can best showcase our many talented artists and the wonderful galleries where their work is displayed," she said. "It’s a fun activity for friends and family to plan their Gallery Tour, and then enjoy the paintings, sculptures, jewelry, and ceramics on display."

Participants who have all 8 stamps in their Passport will drop them off at the last gallery they visit for a chance to win one of two $300 gift certificates to be used to purchase artwork from one of the participating galleries. The two winners will be chosen at random and announced soon after the East Bay Gallery Tour event is over.
