Danville Christmas Tree Disposal Underway: What To Know In 2022
Miss your collection date? You've still got time to dispose of your tree, at no cost.
DANVILLE, CA — Christmas tree disposal services are underway for Danville customers of Republic Services.
Christmas trees will be picked up through Friday on the same day as your regular garbage service, according to Republic Services. A separate truck will handle tree collection and trees will be composted.
Anyone who fails to dispose of their tree this week may also do so Jan. 17 to 21 on their regularly scheduled day.

Be sure to leave trees curbside, stripped of lights, tinsel, tree stands and ornaments. Any trees taller than 8 feet should be cut in half, according to Republic Services.
Free pickup of flocked trees must be scheduled in advance by calling 925-685-4711. Residents may also dispose of flocked trees by cutting them to fit in their black landfill cart, with the lid closed.
