DANVILLE, CA — Danville twins Soha and Imran Sohail Guller were awarded the Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Humanitarian Award by the Contra Costa County Board of Supervisors in recognition of their many years of community service.
Soha and Imran began giving back in elementary school, when they helped their sister organize book drives for the Monument Crisis Center in Concord. Before embarking on family trips around the world, they organized local drives for art supplies that they delivered to children in need.
In middle school, Soha and Imran continued organizing various charity drives. During the pandemic, they made and sold candles, and used the proceeds to help those most affected. They also partnered with local supermarkets to help provide essential food supplies for a local women's shelter. They continued organizing blanket and clothing drives for the shelter. Recently, they also led a blanket-making drive to support babies in the NICU and ICU across the country.
