Danville 'Walk For Paws' Raising Money For Contra Costa Humane Society

Guests are invited to bring their dogs, then collect goodies along the Hartz Avenue 'Treat Trail' following the walk.

DANVILLE, CA — Two-legged and four-legged friends are invited to join the Walk for Paws, a fundraiser for the Contra Costa Humane Society in Danville Sunday.

The fundraiser raises awareness for the Humane Society's work rescuing homeless animals around the county, and celebrates Danville as a dog-loving destination.

Check-in begins Sunday at 8:30 a.m. at the Danville Community Center on 420 Front Street. The walk begins at 9:30 along the Walk for Paws Loop through downtown Danville. After the walk, participants are invited to walk along the Hartz Avenue "Treat Trail" and take advantage of all kinds of specials for various canine swag. The event also comes with a CCHS drawstring bag filled with goodies from local sponsors and business partners.

The walk costs $40 per person and $120 per foursome. Registration ends Saturday at 11:59 p.m.
