Honor Local Veterans At Danville's Memorial Day Ceremony

The community is invited to the annual event at Oak Hill Park.

DANVILLE, CA — The Town of Danville invites the community to honor and remember local veterans of the U.S. Armed Forces who died in service and their families.

The annual Memorial Day Observance Ceremony is May 30 at Oak Hill Park. Visitors will see American flags lining Stone Valley Road to the park. A pre-program concert starts at 10:30 a.m. and the ceremony starts at 11.

The Master of Ceremony for 2022 is Dennis Giacovelli, the city said. He'll be joined by Major Jim Taylor, a U.S. Army veteran.

"Danville Mayor Newell Arnerich will offer the Welcome Remarks and the Danville Community Band, with Conductor Dr. Robert Calonico, will provide the music, with a salute to service branches of the Armed Forces of the United States," the city said.
