O'Neill Festival Whiskey Stroll, Guided Walking Tour Coming To Danville

Guests will enjoy whiskey paired with food and Irish sea shanties to honor the famous playwright who once lived in Danville.

DANVILLE, CA — Few things can inspire literary greatness like an Irish shanty and a swig of whisky. Tickets are available for the Whiskey Stroll, a whiskey tour of downtown Danville that’s part of the ongoing Eugene O’Neill Festival.

The tour will take place Wednesday, Sept. 17 from 6 to 8 p.m. It will start at the O’Neill Festival concierge table on the patio of the Auburn Lounge at 321 Hartz Avenue, and continue on through different restaurants that have arranged whiskey and food pairings to the sounds of Irish shanties. Tickets cost $25 in advance and $30 at the door. Guests will receive a wristband and souvenir shot glass.

The festival contains several upcoming events throughout September, including a free guided walking tour Saturday of the spots in Danville that O’Neill frequented when he lived there, and performances of the Hairy Ape at the Tao House. See here for more information.
