Reneé Morgan 'Worked Tirelessly' To Make Sure Every Senior Has A Meal

DANVILLE, CA — Without community leaders, Danville wouldn’t hum along nearly as smoothly as it does. We’d miss their contributions in big and small ways.
Patch has partnered with T-Mobile to recognize these often unsung community leaders and celebrate their contributions.

What does this community leader do?
Museum of the San Ramon Valley Auction Chair-since its inception,Renee has single handedly organized and produced the amazing auction raising over $60k to keep the One Room Schoolhouse experience and Historical exhibits available to the San Ramon Valley and beyond. Meals on Wheels Diablo Region Executive Board Vice Chair-when Renee started on the board their were wait lists throughout the area. She has worked tirelessly to make sure every qualified senior has a meal, friendly visitors and outreach needed. This was especially important during the National Lockdown and beyond. She was also instrumental in creating the annual fundraising gala. San Ramon Regional Medical Center/John Muir Health Governing Board-Vice Chair- making sure our medical services and emergency care is top notch. Improving the services provided and maintaining quality control. Renee is committed to improving the lives of children in Contra Costa County and is a member of Danville Children's Guild, Fostering Wishes and has helped numerous other youth programs including Down syndrome Connection of the Bay Area, a Youth Cheer Coach just to name a few. Renee personally collected over 800 stuffed animals and personally delivered them to local rehabilitation hospitals, senior care facilities and the Contra Costa Family Justice Center for children needing support and love during difficult times, Renee is a member of the American Red Cross Leadership Board. During the wildfires, she a made her home a collection location for much needed supplies to the victims. Her father was a retired Army CSM. Her commitment to veterans is exceptional. Renee established Danville as a Purple Heart Community. Due to her commitment and service to the Veterans and the Veterans Memorial Building Renee was named an Honorary Member.
Why do you believe the community leader should be recognized or honored?
Renee always puts the community's needs as a priority and genuinely cares for others. You always see her active in the community and making a difference no matter where she goes.
What's one thing you want everyone to know about the community hero?
Renee will always have the best interests of where we live and is a huge advocate for Alzheimer’s and our Veterans.
