Section Of Front Street To Close Due To Underground Utility Work

DANVILLE, CA — Underground utility work on Front Street near the Village Theatre and Town Meeting Hall will create modified traffic patterns in the downtown area until Friday.

Through traffic will be diverted to Hartz Avenue between East Prospect Avenue and Hartz Way. Visitors to the Village theatre should use the parking lot entrance at Church Street. Visitors to the Danville Community Center and Danville Library can enter Front Street at Hartz Way to access the Community Center parking lot.

Visitors hoping to use the Front Street parking lot or the private business lot at 15 Front Street can enter Front Street at East Prospect Avenue.

The section of Front Street between the construction site at 212 Front Street and the Town Meeting Hall will be fully closed. Drivers are asked to use the Hartz Avenue detour while traveling through the area.
