SRVUSD One Of The Best Districts In Bay Area, California: Niche
The school district once again scored highly in rankings, particularly in areas like academics, teachers, and college prep.
DANVILLE, CA — The San Ramon Valley Unified School District is the second best school district in Contra Costa County, according to ranking website Niche. Like last year, it ranked just behind Acalanes Union High School District in Lafayette for the county’s top spot.
The district ranked 11th in the Bay Area, 28th in California, and 169th in the United States.

The district received an overall grade of A+, based on quantitative data and parent and student surveys. Its academics, teachers, and college prep received an A+, while its lowest score was food, which received a B minus.

Monte Vista High School was ranked the third best public high school in Contra Costa County (the best was Campolindo High School in Moraga), and the 20th best public high school in the Bay Area. It received an overall score of A+, with an A+ in college prep, and scores of A in academics and teachers.
San Ramon Valley High School was ranked the 13th best public high school in Contra Costa County, and the 76th best public high school in the Bay Area. It received an overall grade of A, with academics and college prep earning an A and A-, respectively.

Dougherty Valley High School was ranked the fifth best public high school in Contra Costa County, and the 20th best public high school in the Bay Area. It received an overall grade of A+, and received an A+ in academics and college prep, and an A for teachers.
California High School was ranked the 11th best public high school in Contra Costa County, and the 51st best in the Bay Area. It received an overall grade of A, and received an A in academics, diversity, and college prep.
Nearby, Dublin Unified School District also scored an overall grade of A+, and was ranked 4th in Alameda County, 13th in the Bay Area, and 42nd in California. The Pleasanton Unified School District received an overall grade of A+, and was ranked 2nd in Alameda County, 9th in the Bay Area, and 17th in California.
Mountain View-Los Altos Union High School District was ranked the best school district in the Bay Area and the second best in California, overtaking Palo Alto Unified School District. La Cañada Unified School District was ranked the best in California, while Glenbrook High School District in suburban Chicago was ranked the best school district in the nation.
