Work On Diablo Road To Start Monday, Part Of Larger Diablo Road Improvement Project
Potholing on a section of Diablo Road will begin Monday. preceding work that is expected to last through December 2026.
DANVILLE, CA — The town of Danville is conducting location testing, also known as potholing, along a segment of Diablo Road starting Monday.
From Monday through Friday, traffic will be limited to one way at a time between 9 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. from Fairway Drive to Avenida Nueva. Motorists should expect periodic traffic delays in the area for at least four days. Flaggers and signs will help guide them through the area.
The potholing precedes the Diablo Road Pedestrian Trail and Drainage Improvements Project, which will construct the final 0.9 mile of a 2.1-mile, 8-foot-wide Class 1 multi-use trail along the southern shoulder of Diablo Road. This aims to improve connection between Green Valley Road and Blackhawk Road, and expand access to Mount Diablo State Park.
