Dublin High School Among Best In Bay Area: U.S. News

Schools were ranked on subject proficiency, test scores, graduation rates, and more.

DUBLIN, CA — U.S. News and World Report released its high school rankings, which assign overall scores based on college readiness, college curriculum, state assessments, graduation rates, and more.

According to the newest rankings, Dublin High School received an overall score of 96.48 out of 100, placing it fifth out of the nine Tri-Valley public high schools, 19th in the Bay Area, 82nd in California, and 622nd nationally.

  • How many students have taken at least one AP Exam (64%)
  • How many have passed at least one AP Exam (57%)
  • How many students are proficient in mathematics according to state assessments (68%)
  • How many students are deemed proficient in reading according to state assessments (80%)
  • How many students are deemed proficient in science according to state assessments (62%)
  • Graduation rate (97%)

The highest scoring Tri-Valley School was Dougherty Valley High School in San Ramon, which ranked third in the Bay Area, 19th in California, and 155th best in the nation, with an overall score of 99.12. After Dougherty Valley, the regional scores were as follows:

The top schools in California are Riverside Stem Academy in Riverside, Whitney High School in Cerritos, and Science Academy Stem Magnet in North Hollywood. The best high school in the country is BASIS Peoria in Peoria, Arizona.
