DUBLIN, CA — Members of the Dublin City Council broke ground on Phase 1 of the Iron Horse Nature Park and Open Space, a larger project to develop a 12-acre parcel near the Iron Horse Trail as park and open space.

Phase 1 of the new park involves the development of just over 3.5 acres of new park starting at the intersection of Amador Valley Boulevard, extending northwest along a former railroad embankment, and ending with a new connection into Stagecoach Park.

Phase 1 will feature a new trail, benches, a seat wall, bike rack, bike repair station, waste receptacle, shade structure, and educational signs describing the oak trees, wetland areas, and history of the former railroad through the site.
