DUBLIN, CA — A delicious new addition to Dublin's booming Asian food scene has just arrived. Raya, which "brings the essence of South India to your plate," just opened at 7150 Village Parkway.

"Step into Raya, where the aroma of authentic South Indian spices welcomes you. Whether you're craving a flavorful biryani, crispy dosas, or a comforting bowl of sambar, our chefs craft every dish with passion and tradition," the restaurant said on its website. "Join us for a dining experience that brings the essence of South India to your plate. From the warm hospitality to the rich flavors, every visit to Raya feels like home. We can't wait to serve you!"

South Indian food tends to be lighter, tangier, and spicier than North Indian cuisine, with a focus on rice, lentils, coconut, and fermented dishes. Raya's menu offers a large selection of dosa, an iconic South Indian crepe made from fermented rice batter and urad dal, or black gram lentils. It also features a large selection of kith, a chopped-up stir-fry featuring eggs, vegetables, meat, spices, onion, and chiles. Visitors can also select from a variety of omelets, soups, chicken and mutton biryani, chicken, curry, and more.
