Officers Seeking Suspect Who Allegedly Shot A Firearm in Tri-Valley Park
Police responded to investigate reports of a man brandishing a firearm and firing a round near picnic tables Friday evening.

PLEASANTON, CA: Officers conducted a search Friday evening near a Pleasanton park for a suspect who allegedly fired one round from a firearm at the park, according to police. Police said at 7:08 p.m. officers responded to Amador Park, located at 4455 Black Ave. for reports of a man brandishing a firearm and firing a round near picnic tables.
According to police, the suspect was last seen fleeing south on foot towards Black Avenue. Witnesses described the suspect and officers were able to locate a person who matched the description provided and who admitted to being in the park that evening, however, the individual denied shooting a firearm, police said. Additionally, the witnesses were unable to identify the individual as the shooter.
Officers continued to search the area and were able to locate a single shotgun shell casing. A canine unit also canvassed the area, and no firearm was recovered.
