1. EBRPD defunds multiple Tri-Valley projects amid split vote on annual budget (pleasantonweekly.com) — Dublin residents should know the East Bay Regional Park District trimmed nearly $6 million in Measure WW bond spending for Tri-Valley park projects, even as Dublin remains fully covered by the measure. While some trail and preserve upgrades were delayed, the board redirected general funds to keep key efforts like opening Doolan Canyon and improving Del Valle facilities moving forward. 
2. CHP searching for Camaro that evaded officers Wednesday morning (pleasantonweekly.com) — CHP’s Dublin office is asking local residents for help identifying a black Chevrolet Camaro that reportedly sped over 100 mph and evaded officers Wednesday morning on westbound I-580 near the North Pleasanton–Dublin area. Investigators say the car used a feature to hide its license plate, but they believe the plate itself is black with yellow or white lettering and are urging anyone who saw it to contact them.
3. Man charged with attempted murder for machete attack in Livermore (pleasantonweekly.com) — A Livermore-area man is being held at Santa Rita Jail in Dublin after allegedly attacking two people with machetes on a rural property near Livermore, leading to four felony charges including attempted murder. Deputies say the victims and a witness later identified him during an arrest several miles away, and he remains in custody awaiting a court appearance.
4. Fremont man sentence sentenced to life after failed attempt to back out of plea deal (sanluisobispo.com) — A Fremont man has been sentenced to 29 years to life in prison for a 2023 killing, after unsuccessfully trying to withdraw his plea while housed at Santa Rita Jail in Dublin. The case, handled in Alameda County, includes recorded jail calls from Dublin where he blamed his attorney but was ultimately held to his original agreement.
