Pleasanton, San Ramon Make List Of Safest Cities To Raise A Family

DUBLIN, CA — Two cities in the Tri-Valley made Safewise's list “Top 50 Safest Cities to Raise a Family in 2022.”

San Ramon ranked #10 in the U.S. The city took the second spot in California after Mission Viejo which ranked #7 in the state.

Pleasanton ranked #50 in the country.

Safewise, a security research group focused on crime and safety trends, studied violent crime, property crime and sex offender lists among other factors when determining its rankings.

Santa Clarita, Thousand Oaks, Lake Forest, Murrieta, Chino Hills, Irvine, San Marcos and Simi Valley also made the list.

The Golden State had 11 slots in the top 50. California also had a number of dangerous cities listed.

Johns Creek, Georgia was ranked as the safest city in America to raise a family.

Indiana, Texas and California each had two cities in the top 10, the report said.

Other western states like Washington, Utah, Oregon, Colorado, and New Mexico had no cities that broke into the top 50 safest cities, according to the report.
