DUBLIN, CA — Dublin police officers say they found $135,000 worth of contraband in a sting operation at local smoke shops.
In September, the Dublin Police Services' Crime Prevention Unit joined forces with School Resource Officers, the California Department of Tax and Fee Administration, and the Dublin Code Enforcement agency to see if any illegal products were being sold.
DPS said it searched Royal Novelties, a smoke shop at 7381 Amador Valley Boulevard, and Smoker Friendly Smoke Shop on 7135 Amador Plaza Road, both located near schools. Investigators allege that they discovered a total of 81 boxes of banned flavored tobacco, illegal THC products, and psilocybin mushroom across the two shops, though they did not specify what was found at which shop.
